Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) has embarked on implementing a UGX 4.4 billion project in which it’s to install 750 street lights and 40 CCTV Cameras along streets and roads within the central business area.

The roads that are to be first catered for include Nile Avenue, Bombo Road, Kampala Road, Queens Way and Kyagwe Road aimed at improving on security and make Kampala enjoyable for all.

While inspecting the sites where the installations are to take place on Monday May 29th, the KCCA Executive Director Jenifer Musisi urged the general public to be vigilant and protect the city’s property.

Musisi insists that the city should be secure from robberies, murders, littering since wrong elements make use of the darkness to a bet crime.
