As different mourners continue to flock parliament to mourn the demise of Speaker of parliament Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah, the former speaker also Kamuli district woman representative Rebecca Kadaga is the latest among the high profile persons to reach parliament to paid tribute to Oulanyah.
Kadaga who looked sad, praised Oulanyah as a man who was hard working, committed to his duty and served his country diligently.
She said that Oulanyah did a lot in uniting, reconciling and recruiting the people of northern Uganda into the National Resistance Movement -NRM when he served as the vice chairperson of NRM in northern Uganda.
Kadaga further added that during the 10 years Oulanyah served as her deputy for speakership, he always wanted research based information in parliament.
Kadaga also recognized late Oulanyah as a person who represented Uganda on different international forums including the Great Lake Region conference, The African Caribbean Pacific and European Union among other.
The body of late Oulanyah is expected in the country this Friday April 1st and burial next week Thursday April 7th 2022 in Lalogi, Omoro district Northern Uganda.
