The Inspector General of Police Martin Okoth Ochola has directed commanders at all levels to arrest bar owners, workers and revelers as well as impound properties of bar to be found in operational.
According to the IGP, music systems, money, seats and all other properties used in these bars should be seized to curtail the increasing opening of bars before the promised January 2022 full open.
On Saturday during the nation address, President Yoweri Museveni said that all schools and the whole economy will fully reopen in January next whether people are vaccinated against Covi-19 or not.
Fred Enanga, the Police Spokesperson says that RPC, DPC and other commanders whose territories will be found with operating bars will be arrested as per the IGPs directive.
Enanga further identifies some bars that do operate in this bar closure including Forest Mall, Ex hub Najeera, Do and Jack
