The Inspector General of Police-IGP, Martin Okoth Ochola has joined a team of security agencies searching for kidnapped US tourist and a Ugandan driver in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Four armed men kidnapped Kimbley Sue Endecott and his Ugandan tour guide, John Paul on Tuesday evening.

The kidnappers left two elderly couples in the vehicles the victims were using.

The Deputy Police spokesperson, Polly Namaye, said Ochola flew to Queen Elizabeth to meet other security teams already on the hunt for the kidnappers.

The kidnappers have reportedly called using a US telephone line demanding a ransom of Shillings 1.8billion.

The kidnap of Endecott and John Paul comes a few days after six Ugandans including a 12 year old child were kidnapped by armed men near Ishasha boarder.

Security forces are still searching for the kidnap victims.
