Government is to increase taxes on fuel by 0.5% on every litter.
According to the tax bill table in parliament starting next financial year, every litter of petrol has been added on 1350shs, Diesel 1030shs and kerosene 300shs.
Speaking to the chairperson of the parliamentary committee on Finance, Henry Musasizi such taxes will be subjected to review by the committee and the final decision will be done by parliament.
Among other taxes are exercise duty on Alcohol, and Non alcohol like juices, sodas among others and property taxes like rental tax of 0.5, rental taxes and withholding tax on purchase of land for commercial use.
However also government has introduced tax exemptions on items like Medical supplies, Agricultural inputs, Ambulance etc.
