The opposition forum for democratic change wants the minister for internal affairs Gen.Jeje Odongo and the inspector general of police martin Okoth Ochola to apologize to the country for their failed roles.

In a press conference today at the party headquarters at Najjanankumbi the deputy party spokesperson John Kikonyogo noted that it’s disheartening to see the continued abductions of Ugandans indiscriminately  and taken to unknown places adding that there is no cause for the UPDF to celebrate 40 years of existence when Ugandans are suffering in the hands of security officers.

In a related development The Democratic Party women’s league has given an ultimatum of 3 weeks to government to release all those who were arrested during and after general elections.

Speaking to the press at the their party headquarters at city house in Kampala the deputy secretary general of the party Owek.Mugerwa kasule noted that many youths were arrested because of their political affiliations and many were killed during campaigns .

These also want all  those in detention centers to make public of their names  and those  suspected of crimes be brought to courts for justice to prevail.

She noted once  government fails to adhere to their calls they will peacefully match to statehouse before the women’s day that’s celebrated every  8 march .
