Geoffrey Kikama Bwambale, the Rukoki Gombolola Internal Security Officer-GISO in Kasese district is in police custody in connection with the death of his brother.
He was re-arrested on the orders of Kasese Resident State Attorney for the alleged murder of Augustine Kikama, 45, on February 21st, 2020.
Residents found Kikama’s body dumped in Kigoro River, a few meters from his home.
Bwambale, 49, was briefly arrested and released under unclear circumstances.
Ismail Kaawo, the Rwenzori East police spokesperson, says the Resident State Attorney has sanctioned the suspect’s file and he will soon appear in court to answer the charges.
