The Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) wants evidence from President Yoweri Museveni accusing opposition parties and their members of seeking funds from the foreign countries to taint Uganda’s image to be prevailed.

FDC President Eng. Patrick Obi Amuriat says the president’s assertions are aimed at finding reasons to oppress the voice of the people adding that there is no party that can pay youths to burn petrol stations, car tires since their advocacy has always been calling for diplomatic avenues to change leadership which he says is violated by some state institutions.

His reaction was in response to the open attack to foreign powers and Non government organizations by President Museveni during his address yesterday.

This was after Kyadondo East Mp Robert Kyagulanyi held  a press conference in US last week trying to expose to the world the atrocities and torture they experienced during the Arua By-Election.

Amuriat says President Museveni must accept that he is failing Uganda’s progress and should apologies for blackmailing the opposition.

He further says Uganda cannot stand on its own without the help of foreign powers since Ugx7 trillion out of the 30 trillion of the national budget comes from donors.

Meanwhile Amuriat said they are to launch a private investigations into the ongoing murders in the country because Ugandans no longer trust Police statements on the wave of killings that has not spared Muslim clerics Army and Police and other civilians
