The Opposition Forum for Democratic Change has insisted on taking a disciplinary action against its members who have decided to abandon the party and crossed to support an opponent in the coming Arua municipality bi- election.

Addressing the media at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, the deputy secretary general Halod Kaija noted that the party disciplinary committee chaired by Hon J B Okello Okello assisted by the party elders will handle the issue immediately after the by- election on people who have supported Hon Cassiano Wadri instead of their flag bearer Bruce Musema.

 

Kaija pointed out one Hon Nabira Naggayi the woman MP for Kampala to have diverted from the party agenda.

 

Meanwhile the Uganda Police Force has tightened Security in Arua Municipality ahead of the by-election slated for this Wednesday, August 15th 2018.

The deputy spokesperson Patrick Onyango while addressing the press at Central Police Station in Kampala said they have information that some people who are not voters or residents of Arua have been ferried to the area with intent to disrupt the voting exercise but they must stand warned that police is ready to apprehend them.

Two trucks of Anti-riot Police has been flagged off along with its assortments for use to manage the exercise.

President Museveni and Dr. Kizza Besigye are in the area for the last rally for their candidates, Nusula Tiperu and Bruce Musema while the joint campaign by other political parties led by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi are supporting Kassiano Wadri who are part of the 12 candidates in the race.
