The parliamentary Presidential Affairs committee has tasked the Minister of Science and Technology Monica Musenero to explain the cause of changes and omissions in the designs meant for building a specialized  and skilling  industrial center in Lyantonde.

This was after the committee landing on the changed design papers contrary to the original ones that were submitted to parliament while acquiring a loan of USD 90m to construct a scientific and innovation center.

The chairperson of the committee Jessica Ababiku challenged the minister to explain the cause in the design changes to those of a vocation training center well knowing that vocational centers fall under the ministry of Education and Sports and not the science ministry which she failed.

It’s from this that the committee decided to hold the approval of the ministries budget not until the minister submits the names of the officials who changed the original designs to appear before the committee and explain their motive.
