The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) has produced a file sanctioning charges against 13 suspected criminals alleged to have been in connection of murdering women in Nansana Municipality.

The Police Spokesperson Asan Kasingye says the suspects are to be produced before the Nakawa Chief Magistrate court under three charges; that is terrorism, murder and aggravated robberies.

Recently, the Inspector General of Police Kale Kayihura told residents of Nansana that 17 women had been killed in a gruesome manner for ritual sacrifices since May this year.

The suspects include, a 13 year Rashid Wagaba, Ibrahim Kawees, Robert Mugerwa, Isma Tamale, Steven Sempijja, Mahad Kakumba, Goerge Sempa, Phillip Tumuhimbise, Christine Nantongo . Bosco Waliggo, David Wasswa and Ismail Segawa.

However, police failed to produce these suspects before court due to the ongoing strike by the judicial officers over salary increment.

Meanwhile; Kasingye refuted one of the daily tabloids Daily monitor newspaper claims that the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kale Kayihura ordered payment of each of the 200 sex workers at least shs200,000Shs and boda boda cyclists to spy for the police and all bar owners to start hiring taxis for sex workers to ensure security.
