Commissioner of Police (CP) Wilfred Okello Makmot died of a blood clot in the lung, according to a postmortem report released by the Police Director of Medical Services Dr Moses Byaruhanga.

Makmot, the coordinator of the National Focal Point (NFP) on Small Arms and Light Weapons died in Transit in Dubai on July 8.

He was travelling to Entebbe from the New York where he had been attending a conference at the United Nations Headquarters.

Dr. Byaruhanga, who together with two other doctors conducted a fresh postmortem on Thursday evening, said that the long haul flight from New York to Florida and Dubai contributed to the sudden death.

Kasiima and Makmot were part of the 18 months mission to Liberia in 2004.
