Centenary Bank has applauded Airtel Uganda for introducing the 5G technology network which is going to ease service delivery.

Airtel announced the operationalization of 5G network in Uganda and so far 11 towers that have successfully tested the 5G technology in Uganda include; Industrial area, Bulange Mengo, Garden City Area, Upper Kololo, Clement Hill, Lower airstrip Kololo Wampewo Avenue and now Mapeera House within Kampala City.

During the launch of 5G network at Mapeera house on Friday, Fabian Kasi the Managing Director Centenary Bank said that network has been the major challenge in their service for the last 40 years but with the presence of 5G network they are assured of improved operations in line with their goal of smart Bank by the end of the year 2023.

Kasi adds that Centenary Bank’s partnership with Airtel Uganda is timely because the institution embarked on a campaign of extending digital services to its customers all over the country to reduce the distances taken to acquire banking services.

Meanwhile, Manoj Murali the Managing Director Airtel Uganda hailed Centenary Bank for embracing new technology (Airtel 5G network) which is going to ease the work of its customers in Uganda and abroad.
