His Eminence Emmanuel Cardinal Wamala has challenged educationists to help Uganda form young ones who are capable of understanding to support the country’s needs.

Cardinal Wamala says there is a difference between education and understanding which principles help in the formation of any one morally and academically within the formal system of education.

Less of that the country cannot have productive group of people capable of transforming Uganda into the social, economic changes that spur development.

He said this during an interview with our reporter in memory of his young brother, the late Br. Aiden Michael Mulabannaku the first Blank Head teacher of St. Henry’s College Kitovu and some of children he supported to have education while at Kitovu is the former Member of Parliament for Makindye Ssabagabo Emmanuel Ssekigozi Ssempala who founded a School and named it after Brother Aiden.

Cardinal Wamala said Br. Aiden who was a brother of the Congregation of the Brothers of Christian Instruction of Kisubi was instrumental in his lifetime as an educationist who transformed communities here and Kenya.

Hon Ssempala Kigozi founded Aiden College Masajja 25 years ago and its celebrations will be held on 7th July 2023.

The school offers bursaries to under privileged students who have exhibited excellence in academic performance just in line with what the late Br. Aiden used to do for the unable children to have education.
