Army Court releases Son to city businessman in among four charged with threatening Airforce security

The General court Martial Makindye has granted bail to Dennis Buchanan son to city business man Sam Buchanan.

Dennis Buchanan who is facing charges related to security is jointly charged with five other people who include Lt. Isaac Makobore a pilot at Entebbe international airport, Patrick Tshimanga a Congolese refugee, Sgt Fulgensio Batte a militant of regular forces of UPDF under directorate of logistics as a driver, John Bosco Nyundo and Godfrey Mukiibi aka Ssemakula.

He has been granted a cash bail of 10 million shillings while his sureties have been bonded at 20 million non cash and further he has been ordered to report to court twice a month every 14 days.

Military prosecution alleges that the six accused persons between December 1^st and 5^th 2021 at Entebbe Air force military wing without authorization moved and accessed Entebbe Drone wing, something they illegally did several times putting the country’s security at risk.

It should be noted that last year in May, the same court withdrew charges of illegal possession of a firearm (pistol) and its ammunition from businessman Sam Buchanan, the father of the accused.
