The Opposition Members of Parliament have won the first Step ,causing suspension of the parliament plenary session this afternoon without touching a single element on the order paper.

Opposition members caused a chaotic scene forcing the deputy speaker of parliament Jacob Oulanya to adjourn the house to next Tuesday, failing the move to table a motion to scrap off article 102b of the constitution that touches on the Presidential Age limit.

MPs from the opposition side tied red ribbons on the head to symbolize danger if NRM members went on with their plan of moving a motion of lifting the presidential age limit article through Igara West MP Raphael Magyezi.

The MPs led by the leader of Opposition Winfred Kizza reached to the extent of shouting on top of their voices singing the national anthem interrupting the Prime Minister Dr. Ruhakana Rugunda from making his Speech on the security deployment and the age limit motion although it hadn’t been included on the Order Paper.

On adjourning the session Oulanya diplomatically said MPs had not showed interest in proceedings.

Meanwhile, Opposition MPs vowed to block the motion even on Tuesday.
