84-year-old Jane Nambi, a resident of Kawempe has been arraigned before Buganda Road Court for forging a will of her late mother Juliana Namasole Nabikande with the intention of taking all her property.
Nambi has appeared before Chief Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu and denied the offense of Will Forgery.
The defense lawyers led by John Mary Muwaya have asked the trial Magistrate to give the accused person bail on grounds of being too old and that she has a residence where to be found.
The trial Magistrate released her on a cash bail of 15 million shillings and each of her sureties to execute a non-cash bond of 30 million shillings.
She is to return to court on November 3rd, 2022 for the commencement of the case hearing as the investigations are still going on.
