The Managing Director of Radio Sapientia, Rev. Fr. Dr. Joseph Lubula, has called on Christians to embrace truthfulness and reject hypocrisy in leadership, warning that dishonesty undermines public trust and moral integrity.
He made the remarks during a thanksgiving Mass organized by Radio Sapientia at the Uganda Secretariat, where he cited instances of leaders who swear oaths using holy books but fail to uphold the promises they make thereafter.
Fr. Lubula further criticized leaders who prioritize personal gain over the welfare of younger generations, urging them instead to focus on community development and values that strengthen society.
Addressing fans of Radio Sapientia who gathered to discuss ideas for the station’s growth, he reminded them to uphold the station’s core principles, including Catholic social teachings, family values, and community service.
He also expressed concern about media outlets that promote content he said undermines the moral upbringing of young people, noting that such trends pose a challenge to value-driven stations like Radio Sapientia.
Fr. Lubula reaffirmed the station’s commitment to ethical broadcasting and the promotion of responsible, values-based media content aimed at nurturing young people and strengthening communities.
