Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA) Executive Director Jennifer Musisi has taken a tour on the infrastructural development around Kawempe and the central divisions where she applauded residents for surrendering their land without any cost to facilitate provision of public utilities.

Musisi says such collaboration has eased their work and saved taxpayers money that would be spent in compensations.

She then announced that the new Mambule Road and Bwaise Junction is ready for use on top of the two earlier completed the Fairway Junction ,Kira-Kabira all financed by the world Bank and Government of Uganda under the 2nd Kampala Institutional and Infrastructure Development Project (KIIDP-2)

Meanwhile, residents of Bwaise led by Shafiki Ssebyala Director of Studies at Birali Islamic School called for reconstruction of the Bwaise water channel that connects to Lubigi and sensitize communities on how to keep it clean to avoid blocking it which in turn cause floods.

This followed today’s heavy pour that caused floods in Birali Islamic School, residential and business premises and Mosques.
