Mukono Muslims mark Eid al-Adha with calls for faith, gratitude, and reflection

Mukono Muslims mark Eid al-Adha

Muslims in Mukono Municipality gathered at various mosques to celebrate Eid al-Adha, a sacred day commemorating Prophet Ibrahim’s unwavering faith and willingness to sacrifice.

At Masjid Atiq, Imam Abdul Majid Ssenyonjo led the prayers and urged the faithful to draw inspiration from Prophet Ibrahim’s example.

He emphasized key virtues such as strong faith and devotion, patience, gratitude, and generosity.

Imam Ssenyonjo also reminded worshippers that Eid al-Adha marks not only a spiritual milestone but also the beginning of a new year in the Islamic lunar calendar.

He encouraged Muslims to take time for personal reflection, repentance, and to recognize their achievements over the past year.
