Listeners of Radio Sapientia 94.4FM who underwent training in poultry farming have received chickens to help improve their livelihoods and support their families.
Speaking during the handover ceremony, Pius Ssentongo, interim President of the Radio Sapientia Fans Club, commended the station’s management for providing listeners with opportunities to acquire skills and improve their livelihoods.
Ssentongo encouraged more listeners to join the Radio Sapientia Fans Club so they can benefit from similar opportunities and initiatives.
He also thanked members of the Sapientia Fans Club and Kolping, a Catholic organisation, for supporting efforts to source the chickens for the beneficiaries.
The beneficiaries expressed gratitude to Radio Sapientia for considering their welfare and giving them an opportunity to put their poultry farming skills into practice and improve their household incomes.
