The Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Oboth-Oboth, has called for a plenary sitting scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, May 28, 2026.
In a communication issued by the Clerk to Parliament, Adolf Mwesige, all Members of Parliament have been directed to attend the sitting set to begin at 2:00 PM.
During the first sitting of the first session of the 12th Parliament held at Kololo Ceremonial Grounds, Speaker Oboth-Oboth had earlier adjourned the House to Thursday, June 4, 2026. However, the parliamentary calendar has since been revised.
According to the order paper, tomorrow’s sitting will primarily focus on the approval of newly appointed Vice President Jessica Alupo and Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja.
Parliament is also expected to designate members to key standing committees, including the Committee on Appointments.
