Retired Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye, the Chairperson of the newly created political pressure group, the People’s Front for Transition, has clarified that their front is intended to unite all change seeking forces to liberate Ugandans but not to divide the Opposition.

This comes after, the Fourth-time presidential candidate, Dr Besigye and his allies in six political parties unveiled People’s Front for Transition as a new political pressure group to expand the frontier in the fight to oust President Museveni in power since 1986.

This created mixed reactions from different politicians saying the front was started to fight the current strongest opposition political party, the National Unity Platform –NUP led by the former 2021 presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine.

Addressing the Journalists at the Justice Forum (JEEMA) offices in Mengo -Kampala this Monday , Besigye said that the assertions that they came out to with this platform to fight NUP is not true but want they only looking for all change seeking forces to work together for the longer awaited change in Uganda’s politics.

Besigye adds that the people behind such propaganda are working for the Government and their primary role is to see opposition parties fighting each other, warning Ugandans to shun such propagandists.

He has disclosed that for 21days they are to engage all opposition political parties and stakeholders such as; students, women groups, business leaders among others for the way forward.
