CHAN Organizers Warn Fans Against Buying Duplicate Tickets Ahead of Uganda vs Senegal Quarterfinal

Dr. Dennis Mugimba, Chairperson of the LOC

The Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for CHAN has issued a warning to fans about the risk of purchasing duplicate tickets being sold online.

At a press conference held at the Uganda Media Centre in Kampala, Dr. Dennis Mugimba, Chairperson of the LOC, congratulated the Uganda CHAN team for reaching the quarterfinals and praised fans for their strong support and large turnouts.

Dr. Mugimba announced that match day ticket sales for Saturday’s quarterfinal clash between Uganda and defending champions Senegal began today at 9:00 a.m.

However, he acknowledged complaints about early and unofficial sales.

To curb ticket fraud, the committee has limited ticket purchases to three per person. Fans are strongly advised to avoid buying tickets from unknown or unofficial sources to prevent falling victim to counterfeit tickets.

Dr. Mugimba noted that incidents of duplicate tickets have significantly reduced thanks to these measures.

In addition, organizers warned that intoxicated or aggressive fans will be denied entry to the stadium on match day, regardless of ticket validity.

Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets early to secure attendance and to respect the regulations, including leaving the venue if denied entry due to ticket issues.
