The conference, themed “Public Finance Management Systems for Sustainable Service Delivery,” has gathered experts to engage in discussions on vital issues surrounding public finance management.

In his opening address, Professor Augustus Nuwagaba, the Deputy Governor of the Bank of Uganda and chief guest at the ceremony, underscored the government’s commitment to positioning Uganda as a leader in natural resource accounting, green accounting, and environmental social governance on a global scale.

He emphasized the need for the country to transition from traditional accounting practices to a more comprehensive approach that includes physical system analysis.
