The Uganda National Examinations Board UNEB has publically admitted receiving reports on the ongoing Uganda Certificate Examinations that they were irregularly accessed by some students and have launched investigation and treating it as “serious” .

According to, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) spokesman Hamis Kaheru, Security agencies have arrested some suspects but has not divulged their identities.

It’s reported that some Senior Four candidates and teachers on Wednesday obtained copies of Chemistry and Christian Religious Education (CRE) papers hours before scheduled examination time. The information reached the social media and its reported a paper cost 500,000/=

Kaheru notes that: “UNEB treats the reports seriously and the security agencies led by Deputy Commissioner of Police Tumuhimbise and Assistant Commissioner of Police Godfrey Maate are taking on investigations, however the examinations will continue as scheduled
