The Minister of State for Animal Industry, Bright Rwamirama, has described the recently concluded Ministers Retreat as a significant milestone in improving government service delivery and strengthening coordination between political and technical leadership.
Speaking to journalists at Parliament, Rwamirama said the retreat offered ministers an opportunity to assess key national development challenges and agree on practical strategies aimed at enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of public service delivery.
He noted that among the major resolutions reached was a renewed commitment by government to intensify the fight against corruption, which he described as a major obstacle to national development.
Rwamirama also welcomed the expanded Cabinet engagement that brought together ministers and Permanent Secretaries, the accounting officers in government ministries.
He said the interaction strengthened collaboration between political leaders responsible for policy direction and technical officials in charge of implementation.
He expressed optimism that the improved coordination would enhance service delivery across government institutions and ensure that all Ugandans benefit from the national development agenda.
