They include Obed Mugwisa, 39, a boda boda rider and resident of Nsimbiziwome Zone in Nakawa Division; Elly Mondoni, 33, a delivery agent with Medicinal Pharmacy and resident of Luzira Portbell Road in Nakawa Division; Joseph Owino, 30, a private security guard and resident of Bukoto in Nakawa Division; and Henry Kabugo, 21, a boda boda rider and resident of Bukoto Old Kira Zone in Nakawa Division.

The four appeared before Senior Grade One Magistrate Edgar Karakire on Friday, June 12, 2026.

The court heard that the accused, together with others still at large, allegedly murdered Sydney Gyabi Gongodyo on June 5, 2026, at Upper Naguru East Road in Kampala District.

Prosecution led by Grace Akite informed the court that investigations into the matter are still ongoing, noting that police are still pursuing additional suspects who remain on the run.

She requested an adjournment to allow investigators to complete inquiries and apprehend the remaining suspects.

Magistrate Karakire remanded the accused to Luzira Prison until June 23, 2026, when they will return to court for a mention of the case and an update on the progress of investigations.
