The Katikkiro of Buganda, Charles Peter Mayiga, has condoled with the family, friends and the entire Buganda Kingdom for the loss of the Kalangala District Woman Member of Parliament, Helen Nakimuli.
Mayiga expressed his profound sadness, recalling his recent interaction with Nakimuli during prayers for the Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II’s, 71st birthday celebrations at St. Nicholas Cathedral on April 13th, 2026.
Nakimuli, born in July 1985, died on Sunday afternoon following complications from surgery at the Alexandros Medical Centre in Kampala however the nature of the surgery is yet to be disclosed.
Beyond her role as a parliamentarian, Nakimuli was remembered for her deep commitment to the Buganda Kingdom.
Mayiga emphasized her unwavering dedication, stating that she served with distinction and consistently championed the interests of her constituents and the Kingdom emphasizing that Hon. Nakimuli was exceptionally dedicated to her duties, and her contributions will be sorely missed.
Parliament is yet to communicate her program for Eulogising Hon. Nakimuli.
