Museveni Promises Permanent Barracks and Development Plans for Kamwenge District

NRM Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

National Resistance Movement (NRM) Presidential Candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has pledged to establish a permanent military barracks at Kibale Forest in Kamwenge District to enhance security within the region’s tourism corridor.

The promise came in response to a request made by Frank Tumwebaze, the Kamwenge NRM District Chairperson, during Museveni’s campaign rally this afternoon at Kyabenda Primary School’s playgrounds in Kamwenge District.

Addressing the rally, Museveni tasked residents to actively support peace and security, emphasizing that these values have been brought to the region by the NRM government.

In addition to the security promise, Museveni unveiled several new development initiatives, including increased financial support for Village Health Teams (VHTs), boda boda riders, and plans to provide coffee seedlings to farmers.

He also announced plans to establish an industrial park in Kamwenge District, aimed at boosting local wealth and creating job opportunities for the community.

The President recognized the vital role of Village Health Teams and other service providers, noting that their contributions have been invaluable to the country’s development.

He assured the public that the NRM government is committed to further enhancing their support.
