Airtel Foundation has launched a new program called Tech-For-Her, designed to empower women by equipping them with essential digital skills.
Speaking at the launch event held at Kawempe Public Library, Charity Rwabutomize Bukenya, Airtel Uganda’s Corporate Social Responsibility Manager, explained that the online-based initiative targets 100 women aged 18 to 35 years.
The program aims to promote digital inclusion and address unemployment among women by enabling them to create their own opportunities using technology.
The five-week training course begins on September 1, 2025, with registration having opened on August 7, 2025.
Upon successful completion, participants will receive certificates recognizing their newly acquired skills.
Easter Kyazike Sebaduka, Executive Director of Kawempe Youth Public Library, praised Airtel Uganda for the initiative, highlighting its potential to empower unemployed but educated young women and support them in building brighter futures.
