The Chaplain of Makerere University Business School, Msgr. Dr. Lawrence Ssemusu, has urged the faithful to fully surrender themselves to Christ, so that He may exalt them.

Msgr. Ssemusu made this call while delivering a sermon during a Mass held for the finals of the Radio Sapientia Catechism Quiz Competition, Akabbinkano ka Katikisimu, at St. Joseph Catholic Parish Church in Nansana, Wakiso District.

He emphasized that Jesus demonstrated His love for humanity by giving Himself for our salvation, and through His body and blood, He nourishes us eternally.

Representing the Archbishop of Kampala, His Grace Paul Ssemogerere, Msgr. Ssemusu also observed that miracles are no longer being experienced by many, as people have failed to surrender their lives to Jesus, the ultimate miracle worker.

Fr. Dr. Joseph Lubula, the Managing Director of Radio Sapientia, commended the contestants for their enthusiasm and energy throughout the competition, noting their strong participation in this year’s event.

He also expressed gratitude to the competition’s sponsors, led by Centenary Bank, for their generous support, which contributed to the success and liveliness of Akabbinkano ka Katikisimu.

Fr. Lubula encouraged those who did not make it to the finals to continue preparing for next year’s competition, urging them to remain hopeful and strive for even greater success in the future.
