Police Warns on New Theft Trend in Buses

Police have identified a developing trend of criminality in the long distance buses involving unknown suspects robbing and injuring passengers along the way.

Kituuma Rusoke, the Police Spokesperson says that this trend of criminality has specifically been identified in vehicles belonging to the Jaguar Bus Company after two cases were registered on November 5th and 6th this year.

He says that the suspects mix substances in eats and drinks which they share with other passengers in disguise of being caring friends, leaving the victims unconscious and they rob them of all their belongings.

Rusoke cites one passenger Among Vaskara who was drugged in a Jaguar Bus registration number UBN 307T and other three passengers in a bus registration number UBN 260T that was traveling from Kampala to Kigali, Rwanda whose belongings including cash was robbed after being sedated.

He says they are currently engaging the Jaguar Bus Company Management to encounter this trending criminality and also encourages passengers to avoid eating staff from strangers.
