Kampala Metropolitan Police have arrested three additional suspects in connection with the robbery of UGX 45.18 million from officials of Riverside Forex Bureau in Nsambya.
The suspects, identified as Farouk Atusasiirwe alias “Gaza,” Ibra Ssemakula alias “Bugalo Mwenda,” and Alex Matovu, were arrested following ongoing investigations into the May 6, 2026 incident.
According to Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, officials from Riverside Forex Bureau had exchanged USD 13,000 into Uganda shillings before they were ambushed by a gang of six motorcycle riders and robbed in Nsambya.
Earlier, police had already arrested Yudah Kamoga alias “Sparta” and boda boda rider Arnold Kayabula in connection with the same case.
Investigators also recovered a motorcycle, registration number UMA 602KK, which is believed to have been used during the robbery.
Police said the suspects remain in custody as investigations continue, with efforts underway to track down other members of the gang who are still at large and bring them to justice.
