Mufti Mubaje Appeals for Dialogue Amid Iran Crisis, Calls for Support for Flood-Affected Traders

The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje,

The Mufti of Uganda, Sheikh Shaban Ramadhan Mubaje, has called for dialogue to protect innocent lives caught in the ongoing conflict in Iran.

Speaking to congregants at Old Kampala Mosque during the Iddi celebrations, Sheikh Mubaje lamented the devastating impact of powerful nations unleashing military force on a smaller country, causing widespread destruction and loss of life.

He praised Iran’s resilience, noting that despite intense bombardments from the United States and Israel over the past two weeks, the country continues to endure.

Sheikh Mubaje urged prayers, asking God to soften the hearts of leaders responsible for the violence and to spare innocent lives from further suffering.

On a local note, he also called on the government to compensate traders affected by recent floods in Kampala and to implement a comprehensive plan to support evicted traders nationwide, warning that neglect could pose risks to community safety.
