Ministry of Education Releases 2025 UHPAB 2nd Series Results

The Ministry of Education and Sports has released the second series of the Uganda Health Professions Assessment Board (UHPAB) Examination results for 2025, which saw participation from 100,272 candidates across 215 accredited health TVET centers nationwide.

The exams were conducted in December 2025.

The results indicate a growing trend of male candidates enrolling in diploma and certificate nursing programs, traditionally dominated by female students.

Despite this shift, female candidates remain the majority, with overall candidature increasing by 22.8 percent.

While releasing the results at State House Nakasero, the Minister of Education and Sports and First Lady, Maama Janet Kataha Museveni, emphasized the role of TVET programs in promoting employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance.

She highlighted the Ministry’s efforts to align skills training with labor market demands as a strategy to tackle unemployment.

Mama Janet noted an 11.2 percent improvement in the performance of certificate candidates and highlighted notable achievements among diploma candidates.

She described this cohort as a new generation of skilled, passionate, and proficient health workers ready for both national and international deployment.
