Parliamentary Plenary Sitting Postponed to Thursday

Clerk to Parliament, Adolf Mwesigye

The parliamentary plenary sitting scheduled for today has been postponed to Thursday, January 29, 2026.

The postponement was communicated in a letter written by the Clerk to Parliament, Adolf Mwesigye, addressed to all Members of Parliament, as well as government and opposition leadership.

According to the Order Paper released for Thursday’s sitting, key business will include the tabling of the 2026/27 Budget Framework Paper by the Ministry of Finance, outlining the government’s macroeconomic policies, revenue projections, and expenditure priorities.

Other items on the agenda include the laying of annual performance reports from the Petroleum Fund, the Education Service Commission, and the consideration of other parliamentary business.
