Moses Muhangi Pledges to Deploy 200 Boxers to Protect Votes in Kampala Central

Kampala Central parliamentary aspirant Moses Muhangi

Kampala Central parliamentary aspirant Moses Muhangi has announced plans to deploy more than 200 boxers to safeguard his votes ahead of the upcoming elections.

Muhangi made the remarks during a press conference at Ibamba Restaurant in Kamwokya, where he outlined his campaign strategy and expressed concerns over potential electoral malpractice.

He revealed that his team had received intelligence indicating possible vote rigging in areas he described as “black spots,” specifically naming Kamwokya, Mengo, and Kisenyi.

Muhangi, however, urged security agencies to remain vigilant to ensure the elections are free and fair.

Muhangi added that any form of vote malpractice could threaten national stability, noting that while everyone wants to win, he would be satisfied only if there were no elements of electoral fraud.

The Kampala Central parliamentary race is shaping up to be highly competitive, with Muhangi facing stiff competition from National Unity Platform (NUP) Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya, Abraham Luzzi, and NRM’s Minsa Kabanda.
