Museveni Urges Wakiso Residents to Tap Into Government Programs for Job Creation

National Resistance Movement Party Presidential Candidate General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni

National Resistance Movement (NRM) presidential candidate, General Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has called on residents of Wakiso district to leverage planned government programs to generate job opportunities.

Speaking at a campaign rally at Entebbe Municipality Playgrounds in Wakiso, President Museveni highlighted development initiatives in industries, peri-commercial agriculture, tourism, and skills training, including artisanship, as avenues for employment.

He noted that the NRM government has laid a stable foundation across various sectors, creating approximately 480,000 government jobs and over 2 million jobs in the private sector. However, he acknowledged that this remains insufficient given Uganda’s growing population.

Museveni urged residents to actively participate in these programs to maximize the opportunities for economic growth and personal advancement.
