The president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Dr. Samuel Kajoba

The president of the Seventh-day Adventist Church Dr. Samuel Kajoba has appealed to Ugandans to approach the election period with calmness, restraint and mutual respect.

While addressing the press in his end of year message Dr. Kajoba appealed to Ugandans never to allow political differences to divide, lead to violence, intimidation, hate speech or spread of misinformation.

Dr. Kajoba advised that people’s diverse opinions should strengthen democracy rather than dividing communities.

He advised the youths who form the biggest backbone of this country to reject manipulation and violence but rather choose peaceful engagement and dialogue.

Dr. Kajoba also appealed for integrity, fairness and service to the common good from those entrusted with leadership including security agencies, electoral bodies among others.
