Hoima Bishop Urges Christians to Remain Firm in Faith Amid Life’s Worries

Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti

As Christians across the country celebrate Christmas, the Bishop of Hoima Catholic Diocese, Rt. Rev. Vincent Kirabo Amooti, has urged the faithful not to allow worries and challenges to weaken their faith in Christ.

Bishop Kirabo made the appeal in his homily while presiding over Christmas Mass at Our Lady of Lourdes Bujumbura Cathedral.

He reminded Christians that Jesus Christ remains present with them in all circumstances, regardless of the difficulties they face.

Citing examples of people working through sleepless nights as well as those battling depression and personal struggles, the Bishop encouraged the faithful to draw closer to God as a source of comfort, strength, and hope.

He also reflected on the year coming to an end, calling on Christians to take time for personal examination.

Bishop Kirabo urged the faithful to meditate on promises made to God that remain unfulfilled, the state of their family life, and their personal spiritual journey during the jubilee year.

The Bishop further noted that the jubilee year will officially close on December 28.
