Government has promised to expedite the investigations in which the Rev. Fr Deus-dedit Ssekabira from Masaka Diocese is accused of causing subversive acts against government.
This has been revealed by the attorney general Kilyowa Kiwanuka before Parliament today 16th December 2025 after opposition MPs lead by leader of opposition Joel Ssenyonyi demanded for the production of Rev. Fr. Ssekabira before courts of law.
The Attorney General Kiwanuka asserted that investigations are being done and soon sanctions will be issued for the priest to be produced in court.
Rev. Fr. Ssekabira a curate at Bumangi Parish and Director of Uplift Primary School, went missing on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, around 1:00 pm in Katwe, Masaka City after he was allegedly kidnapped by men dressed in UPDF uniform and after the public and religious leaders pressed for his production, which forced the UPDF Deputy Spokesperson Chris Magezi to issue a statement confirming his arrest and detaining in CIM custody on Saturday 13th December 2025.
