The Pastoral Coordinator of Kampala Archdiocese, Fr. Dr. Ambrose Bwangatto, has encouraged Christians to pray for the gift of discernment as they prepare for the upcoming Jubilee Year pilgrimage to Rome.
Addressing the pilgrims during a preparatory meeting, Fr. Bwangatto emphasized the importance of prayer and trust in God when making life decisions. He noted that many people often regret choices made without proper reflection or spiritual guidance.
He urged the pilgrims to treat the journey not as a mere tourist excursion but as a moment of deep spiritual reflection and renewal.
“This pilgrimage should be a time to reflect on your Christian life,” he said. “Don’t treat it as sightseeing, and be cautious of conmen. Stay united with the group and don’t isolate yourself.”
While the final number of pilgrims is yet to be confirmed, they are expected to travel in three groups scheduled for October 11, October 19, and November 3, 2025, en route to Rome.
