FDC’s Nandala Mafabi Pledges Industrial Park for Busoga, Focus on Jobs and Social Services

FDC's Nandala Mafabi

Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Nathan Nandala Mafabi has pledged to establish an industrial park in the Busoga region to create employment opportunities and boost household incomes.

Mafabi made the pledge during his stopover in Iganga town, where he received a warm welcome from supporters along the Tororo–Jinja highway.

He was en route to rallies in Namungalwe, Nambale, Nawandala, and Nakalama Sub-county, culminating in a major gathering in Iganga town.

He emphasized that the planned industrial park would absorb local labor, allowing citizens to earn from their services, a move aligned with FDC’s core manifesto goal of “putting money in every Ugandan’s pocket.”

In addition to job creation, Mafabi committed to prioritizing education and healthcare in the region.

He vowed to improve the standards of Busoga University and ensure that all hospitals across Busoga are fully equipped to serve the population effectively.

Meanwhile, FDC party president Eng. Patrick Oboi Amuriat urged the people of Busoga to rally behind the party, highlighting FDC’s commitment to reviving cooperative unions that have collapsed under the current regime.
