Hundreds of pilgrims have flocked to the Kiwamirembe Shrines to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The Mass was led by Archbishop Augustine Kasujja, who urged the faithful to be instruments of peace in their communities.
He emphasized the importance of glorifying Mary, acknowledging her special role in the Church, and expressed gratitude to the pilgrims for their devotion and presence.
“The Lord always provides peace to His people, and it is to Him that we must turn,” Archbishop Kasujja said.
He encouraged the congregation to pray through the intercession of Mother Mary for peace in Uganda and across the world.
Archbishop Kasujja also stressed the need for truth and justice, stating, “Where there is no truth, there can be no peace.”
