Organizations urged to embrace sustainability as FiRe Awards return for 15th edition

FiRe Awards return for 15th edition

Ugandan organizations are being called upon to embed sustainability and transparency into their operations as the Financial Reporting (FiRe) Awards return for their 15th edition.

The FiRe Awards, a prestigious platform that celebrates excellence in corporate reporting, aim to promote sound corporate governance and sustainable business practices across both public and private sectors.

CPA Stephen Ineget, Chairperson of the FiRe Awards Committee at the Institute of Public Finance Accountants of Uganda (ICPAU), emphasized the importance of authentic storytelling in corporate reporting.

He encouraged organizations to use the awards as an opportunity to present their sustainability journeys with credibility and consistency.

Participation in this year’s awards is open to organizations that submit their most recent annual reports between June 1 and September 30, 2025.

These submissions will be reviewed by a panel of experts, offering participants professional feedback and a chance to benchmark their reporting practices against industry leaders.

The awards not only recognize outstanding reporting but also serve as a platform for companies to showcase their commitment to ethical business, accountability, and long-term value creation.

Winners will be honored during the 2025 FiRe Awards ceremony scheduled for November 5.
