Lubaga Cathedral was filled with joy and prayer as the archbishop Dr. Cyprian Kizito Lwanga ordained 15 deacons to priesthood and 12 seminarians to deaconate in Kampala Archdiocese on August 10, 2019.

Among the 15 ordained priests included two deacons from the spiritans congregation in Mulago and the 13 were deacons of the Archdiocese. One of those ordained is now Rev. Fr. Ronald Kyambadde from St. Joseph Parish Nansana in Wakiso district who completed his studies at St. Mbagga Major Seminary Ggaba.

At his thanks giving mass at Nansana parish today Fr. Eugenie Safari the rector of Nyenga minor Seminary described Fr. Kyambadde as a hardworking, intelligent and humble person with a team spirit. He has nice qualities but the entire church has to work and nurture him to fulfill his calling.

He said a priest is a person representing God amongst the people, leads prayers, celebrates sacraments including the sacrament of penance where Catholics reconcile themselves with God, therefore a priest is a bridge between God and his people.

Fr.  Safari hailed Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Balikuddembe Ssenyonjo and Constansia Nayiga parents to Fr. Kyambadde and all parents to the newly ordained to stay focused in their family and be an example because vocations come from the family

Fr. Safari re-affirmed Dr. Lwanga’s message at the ordinations who reminded the ordained that priesthood is a vocation and a calling to individual person that must be jealously protected and promoted first by the ordained, the family and all Christians.
