DP-Bloc Politicians form “Democratic Alliance” Pressure Group

Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, the Alliance leader

The DP Bloc members on Friday announced formation of a new political pressure group named “The Democratic Alliance” (DA) which they intend to register as a political party if all procedures are finalized and its first objective is to help Ugandans get the long awaited political leadership change in the country.

While announcing the group at the Maribu Gardens at Namirembe Bakuli, in Kampala, Mathias Mpuuga Nsamba, the Alliance leader disclosed that the present opposition players have prioritized divisionism instead of focusing on bringing change which they intend to cure under the new formation; the Democratic Alliance.

Mpuuga, the Nyendo-Mukungwe Member of Parliament says the DA will front candidates for every elective position in the 2026 general elections such that they offer better leadership to Ugandans.

He calls upon the youths to desist from using social media to abuse people but to use it productively to develop themselves and the country at large.

The event was attended by several politicians who have since fallen out with the leadership of the National Unity Platform (NUP) party such; Samuel Walter Lubega Mukaaku, Michael Mabikke, the Kimaanya-Kabonera MP, Dr. Abed Bwanika, Entebbe Municipality MP, Michael Kakembo Mbwatekamwa, former Rubaga North MP, Moses Kasibante among others.
