Nsambya Babies Home Asks Government, Private Companies for Assistance

Nsambya Babies Home pleds for help from Govt and private companies

Nsambya Babies Home has issued a passionate plea for increased support from development partners and the Government to ensure effective service delivery.

This has been sounded by Flavia Nakasozi, a social worker at Nsambya Babies Home during their meeting with Mestil Hotel Staff at Nsambya, Kampala as the Home struggles to provide adequate care and services to the vulnerable children in their care.

Nsambya Babies Home has been a beacon of hope for abandoned, orphaned and vulnerable children for years. The Home provides a safe haven, nutritious food, medical care and education to several children.

Nakasozi noted that despite their tireless efforts, their team faces numerous challenges in executing their work successfully; limited resources, inadequate funding and insufficient support from stakeholders hinder their ability to provide the best possible care for the children.

Meanwhile, Killian Lugwe, the Managing Director of Mestil Hotel says it’s better to meet vulnerable children and make them happy, rather than just donating money or resources. Lugwe was deeply moved by the experience and has pledged to continue supporting the children at Nsambya Babies Home.
