Police in Nakaseke District have launched investigations into the murder of a farm manager who was allegedly hacked to death by a fellow employee.
The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, 2 August 2026, at around 2:00 p.m. at Herbert’s Farm in Magoma Village, Magoma Parish, Kikamulo Sub-county, Nakaseke District.
The deceased has been identified as Emmanuel Ainemukama, 30, who worked as the farm manager at Herbert’s Farm and lived on the farm premises.
According to preliminary police findings, Ainemukama was preparing herbicide for spraying when he was allegedly attacked by a colleague, identified as Nicholas Kabandize.
Police say the suspect repeatedly hacked the victim before fleeing the scene, leaving him lying in a pool of blood.
In a statement, Savannah Regional Police spokesperson Sam Twiineamazima said officers recovered the body and transported it to Nakaseke General Hospital for a postmortem examination.
Police have launched a manhunt for the suspect, who remains at large, while investigations into the incident continue.
